Buffalo Lodge announces contest winners

The Buffalo Lodge offered prize money for ROLL's best artwork in 2019. $200 for 1st place went to Kevin Wilkinson for "Forgotten.  Not Gone."  $100 for 2nd place went to Allen Ray for "Schwinn Stingray."   $50 for 3rd place went to Charlotte Miller for "Buff-Velo Evolution."

ROLL Weather Update

The big spring storm is moving out of the Pikes Peak region, the low spinning over Kansas and Nebraska.
It was an impressive Storm. A small tornado was reported near Flagstaff AZ,as well as some snow there as the system came across from California.
A few amounts have trickled in: Colorado Springs official at Airport on May 20th a record 1.71 inches of liquid precipitation(Rain and melted snow fell.) 2.9 inches of snow fell at the airport.
Down in Pueblo a record 1.35 inches of rain fell.
Downtown the seemed to be about 3-4 inches of heavy wet snow, but no doubt the total was higher as much of the snow melted as it fell. Bushes were bent down and many tree branches were broken as the leaves are out on Many trees.
About 2 inches fell in Southgate. 6 inches up near Austin Bluffs.
There were reports of heavy snows out on the Plains east of the City.
The big winner was Black Forest with 20 inches of snow reported. Monument 15 inches, Boulder 5.1 inches DIA 3.4 inches Aurora 4.5 inches. 10,000 people were reported with out power in the Denver Metro area, due to wet snow breaking branches.
Heavy snows fell in the Mountain areas. I-70 was closed.
Over 20 tornadoes were reported in the Texas Panhandle, Oklahoma, Kansas and Nebraska. In some areas 7 inches of rain fell in Kansas and Oklahoma and there was widespread flooding.
