Clear, 41 degrees here in CoS. A strange weather day. At dawn Tuesday morning, I noticed the sky to the north was blue. To the South, I could not see Cheyenne Mountain. Smoke? Mist? Fog rolled in by 7am. It lasted until around 9 am and then dissipated in floating ice crystals. As promised, the sun came out and it warmed to 55deg here and 60 in Pueblo.
The second California storm is moving in for Wednesday. One ski resort recorded 72 inches in 24 hours in California! The snow will be heavy in the San Juans, Divide and Western slope with 1 to 2 feet expected in the High Rockies. In Eastern Colorado, Arctic Air will slide down from Wyoming. It will reach Denver by late afternoon, with falling temperatures. Look for 2-5 inches of snow from Monument northwards thru Denver and Ft. Collins Thursday night. Here in the Springs only light snow showers are expected, maybe an inch or so, the main storm tracking just to the North. It will get very cold on Wednesday night however temps dropping to 9 degrees and chilly North winds. Cold Thursday , highs in the 20s. Warmer, 40s by the weekend.
We are located in the historic Buffalo Lodge Bicycle Resort hotel in Colorado Springs, so feel free to visit during normal business hours.
