Bike Friendly Driver Update from Bike Colorado Springs

We have now held two BFD classes in Colorado Springs and are ready to schedule a train-the-trainer session with Molly McKinley of Bicycle Colorado. Several of you have already expressed interest in attending. However, we also wanted to extend an invitation to everyone who has registered or attended the Bike Friendly Driver training thus far.  

If you are interested in attending a train-the-trainer class, please give us feedback as to what date listed below in February would work best for you. Please allow 2.5 to 3 hours for this training.

Please note if you have not attended a Bike Friendly Driver class but would like to become a trainer, Molly is willing to host a special class for those folks who have yet to attend the Bike Friendly Driver training prior to a train-the-trainer session.

ROLL Weather Update

Cloudy, chilly 30s a glimpse of sun, flurries and low clouds in CoS. A February kind of day. The main storm has moved east to Missouri. Some impressive snow totals. Also it was an unusually warm system for January. Many lower elevations such as Ft. Collins and Loveland experienced mainly Rain. Even CoS had some rain/snow mix Downtown. Good moisture for the area though. Here are a few Totals:
North: DIA 1" .45 inches liquid precipitation. Boulder 3.3 inches snow. .77" water. Downtown Denver 3" snow Castle Pines 8.8" snow, Aurora 4" snow. Castle Rock 8.3 inches.
South: Palmer Lake 9.6" snow, Monument 11.5 " East Library CoS 3". Downtown CoS .5" snow
Southern Front Range, South Park and the Wet Mountains big winners. 11.5" Shafers crossing near Conifer 18" north of Conifer. Antaro Junction 14"(South Park). Woodland Park 8"
One location in the Wet Mountains 17". Rye 13.8. Walsenburg 9.5 inches snow....the storm was intense to the East with 10" reported in Wakeen KS.
